Thelma Reynolds Cross was born June 12, 1943 to Sam and Willie Mae Reynolds in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
She confessed Jesus as her Savior at an early age and united with Chulahoma Baptist Church. Thelma attended school in Marshall County in Holly Springs.
In 1961, Thelma moved to Blytheville, Arkansas with her family, where she also attended school.
Thelma united with Progressive Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board until she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.
Thelma was married to L.C. cross in Blytheville, who preceded her in death. She worked and retired from Bush Canning Company in Blytheville.
After the passing of her father, she moved to Indianapolis to stay with her mother in 2000.
Thelma united with NU Corinthian Baptist Church, serving as a Mother of the church. She later joined Abyssinian Missionary Baptist Church until God called her home.
Thelma Reynolds Cross departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 77. Along with her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Johnson; brothers, Tobey, Willie, Wiley, Rev Wilson and Ivory Reynolds,
She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Deacon Johnny H. Reynolds and Rev. Walter C. Reynolds (Jacqueline) of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Jewell Wright of Memphis, TN, Mary K. Blakemore and Bobbie J. Rolle of Indianapolis, IN, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, many, many cousins, friends and church family.
Even though she didn’t have children, she was like a mother to her nieces and nephews.
Thelma loved the Lord, family and God’s people.
