Sharon A. Whitley was born on March 7, 1949 to Alberta G. Perry and Herman Whitley in Indianapolis, IN. Sharon attended IPS School #60 and Shortridge High School. She was employed in the healthcare and service industry for several years. In 1966 she was united in Holy Matrimony Rufus Dickerson their union lasted for nine years. She was an amazing care giver she enjoyed cleaning EVERYTHING! From her home to others to ensure they were up to standard. Her life’s pleasure was caring for Nieces and Nephews
She was the definition of self-care she made a point to tell everyone often to improve skin and healthcare routine. She could often be heard asking her family “How much water did you drink today” “You need to use this type of product for your hair” etc. Although she didn’t have children, she truly was a mother to hundreds. When she was not cleaning cooking or taking her daily walks through the neighborhood, she would watch her favorite shows on television Jeopardy. In which she should have been a contestant on the show as she knew all the answers.
Sharon was a loving and devoted sister aunt and friend she lived her life to the fullest…. she did exactly what she wanted to do and there was nothing you could tell her to change her mind!
