Obituary

Sandra Mae Hollinshed Garnes, daughter of Cleophas  Hollinshed and Louvenia (Jones) Hollinshed Coles was born April 30, 1948, in Holzer Hospital, Gallipolis, Ohio.  Sandra was raised in Middleport, Ohio and graduated from Middleport High School in 1966, where she was Homecoming Queen.

She accepted Christ at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at a young age. Sandra worked at Lakin State Hospital in Lakin, West Virginia; Indiana Bell Telephone Company in Indianapolis and H & R Block.

Sandra Mae Hollinshed Garnes departed this life on June 1, 2022. She  was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather. Raymand Coles; brother, Charles Hollinshed and niece, Shae Hollinshed Inman.

She leaves to cherish her memory son, James Garnes; granddaughter, Tiara Garnes; great-grands, Emilia Mitchell and Avain Garnes; half brother, Ricky Hollinshed of Maryland; stepmother, Cora Hollinshed of NC; sister-in-law, Rosann Hollinshed, Gallipolis, OH; niece, Taia Williams, Dry Ridge, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
