Ruthanne Jones

Ruthanne Perkins was born June 4, 1943 in Indianapolis IN, to Martha and Kelly Perkins. She graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1962 and afterward attended Indiana State University for two years. After attending college, she moved to Chicago where she worked for the Jewish Federation for two years. Ruthanne then returned to Indianapolis where she married Emmett Jones in 1967. She worked as an orderly and later a case worker at the LaRue Carter Hospital.  In later years she continued her passion for Social Work for the Marion County Mental Health Association. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and playing cards and spending time with her family. Ruthanne departed this life on Thursday, August 18, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Martha and Kelly Perkins. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, David Jones from Indianapolis, IN, Tony Jones (Yolanda) from O'Fallon, MO., and Krystal Pippens (Tony)  of Indianapolis, IN., three grandchildren and a host of loving family members.
