Obituary

 

Helen Faye Woolery was born on November 5, 1938 in Aux, Missouri. She was the fifth child of six children born to Alonzo and Helen Woolery.

 

She relocated to Indianapolis with her family in 1941 and attended Indianapolis Public Schools. She was a member of South Calvary Baptist Church and later became a member of Indiana Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board.

 

Helen Faye worked and retired from Lane Bryant in the late 80s. A few things to remember about Helen Faye were her love for shopping at thrift stores, growing plants and most importantly her love for the Lord and her church family.  Helen Faye was sassy, sophisticated and lived a colorful life.

Helen Faye Woolery passed on December 28, 2021 at the age of 83. Preceding her in death are her parents, Alonzo and Helen Woolery; her son, James Woolery; brothers, Raymond, Alonzo, James Woolery and her sister, Louella Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Wanda Ward; grandson, Jermaine Woolery; granddaughter, Asia Woolery; great granddaughter, Mariah Woolery and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and, friends.
